I loved the way she wove the meaning behind the title and cover into the story.This book brings to mind another of my favorites as it is written with the same ease of style. Try to put this book down and you will find it impossible.

I loved this book. Such lovely writing, really making you feel you were in the character's shoes. I couldn't stop thinking about this book, long after I finished reading it. The author weaves together past and present so seamlessly.
The book is wonderful, sad, and incredibly insightful. I devoured it.
I am sure I will be reading it a second time, marking those philosophical lines regarding relationships, memories and family.
It is a gift to be able to share so much with the power of words.
Once I started this book, I was unable to put it down. It's an amazing story of complicated family relations and mysteries, that send you on a quest to know who you are by knowing who you came from.
The character and location description allowed me to feel like I was right there touching and feeling the story that was being told. I got pulled into the story wanting to know what was going to happen. It is a definite page turner to the very end. I highly recommend this book.
Ms. Schneider has a gift in writing and I was beyond tickled when I read the first pages and realized this! I so enjoyed her insights into her past, her thinking and perceptions. Just awesome, the whole thing! Very enjoyable!
This is a fascinating story and beautifully written. The author makes you feel like little Sophie, seeing things through her eyes and feeling her confusion. I haven't finished the book yet but don't really want it to end. M.Sophie Schneider has a unique way of looking at everyday things.
